A Day to Be Remembered: 9/11 With Mind4Youth

By: Michael Cheng, Director of Public Relations

Here at Mind4Youth, raising awareness on mental health has always been an avid goal of our community. This, of course, doesn’t just pertain to just one aspect of youth mental health, but to it on all fronts.

We understand that 9/11 can be an emotionally challenging time for some youth. So, as a way to show empathy for those still healing, Mind4Youth has hosted a handful of events to help show our support.

On September 11, 2025, we hosted our annually recurring 9/11 conference to spread awareness on the psychological impacts left behind by the tragedy. Thank you to all who attended as we dove into the mental health challenges of those affected, and how we can help foster an environment to encourage healing for all.

In addition to our annual conference, Mind4Youth hosted another HeartCare Event at Saratoga Library, to bring the community together on this day.

At the event, Mind4Youth volunteers assembled over 650 mental health kits for underserved communities. We extend our sincerest thanks to everyone who helped out and our sponsors, Youth Service America and AmeriCorps, for making this event possible.

As we conclude the re-cap of our 9/11 service activities, it’s important to remember that healing looks different for everyone, and there isn’t one right way of doing it. Therefore, it is imperative to remember to always show patients and empathy to yourself and others who may be in the process of it.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our 9/11 service activities. Mind4Youth: an organization that is here for you!
